In the book, Unwanteds, by Lisa McMann, there is the land of Quill, a place where creativity is extremely disproved of. In this land, there are three different type of people and the kids get sorted into them once they’re 13. There are Wanteds, the people who have never done any creative things in their life, they have no infractions, and they are praised. There are the Necessaries, these people have 1 or 2 infractions, they are forced es of people, to do the hard work. Then, there are the Unwanteds, they have multiple infractions so they are sentenced to DEATH.  This day where these people get decided which one they are, is called the Purge. On the day of the Purge, there were two twins, Alex and Aaron, who are being sent to the Purge. They have 2 parents who are both Necessaries. Their parents have already been let known by the government, that Alex, who is the main character in this story, is Unwanted, and will be sentenced to death for drawing in the mud. They go to the Purge, and the high priest say the Wanteds, and Aaron’s name is called, he is a Wanted. Then she calls the Necessaries, and finally the High Priest call the Unwanteds. They called Alex, Meghan, Lani, Samheed, and 9 more. They get on a bus and get plunged into a lake that would boil them alive. It’s called the Great Lake of Boiling Oil They go into the lake but come out somewhere else. They are still alive, but how?… read the book to find out!

If you like this book, I recommend that you also read a book called Five Kingdoms, by Brandon Mull. It is about a kid who’s name is Cole Randolph. It takes place on Halloween, and him and his friends are going trick or treating. They go into a haunted house that someone set up in their house. Some people get freaked out and leave. But, Cole, his friend, Dalton, and a couple others stay. But they soon regret it, because… It’s a trap. The people that made the haunted house corner them and take them down this hole. But Cole somehow wasn’t spotted and hid. He came out after they went down the hole and found out someone else hid too. He tells the other person to get away and call 911. Then he jumps down the hole. It seemed like forever but he finally got to the bottom.  And he was still alive. But in a different land. But where.. Read the book to find out!
